Why is finding great kids’ clothing for nice occasions so hard? It sometimes feels like a constant battle trying to find something elegant yet functional. You need clothing that fits the event while also making sure it’s something you can actually get your child to wear. And box stores just don’t get it. If you can find something for your child, the sizes are typically picked over, leaving you with something that doesn’t fit. This is why I love finding local boutiques with curated products for exactly what I need. By relying on local shops, I get to support my city and have a place where they understand our family’s style. If you’ve been searching for a Pittsburgh children’s boutique with items for every occasion, I would love to tell you all about one of my faves, Precious and Posh.
About Precious and Posh
Back in 2015, Mary DiMatteo found herself as a first-time mother with a frustrating problem: it seemed impossible to find good quality clothes for her son, Marco. While trying to sort through the same tired items, she thought of creating her own boutique with styles her family would actually wear.
She opened the store in 2016. Since then, her family and the shop have grown, but the commitment has remained unchanged. Precious and Posh remains the best place in the city to buy luxurious kids’ clothing.

Products
The clothing selection at Precious and Posh is absolutely divine. All the high-quality clothing with various styles your entire family will adore. You can find comfortable yet stylish seersucker suits for boys and velvet dresses for girls. Whether you gravitate toward clean and modern clothing or prefer the airy cottage core look, the shop has something for you.
And while their elegant clothes are some of the best around, their casual selection is just as great. You can find onesies for Fleetwood Mac, rompers with adorable patterns, and shirts with dinosaurs. And what’s an outfit without accessories? The shop sells necklaces, baby headbands, and shoes so your little one always looks their best.
Specialty
Precious and Posh has a stunning gift selection for any occasion. You can get arts and crafts to let your child explore their artistic side. Their books are perfect for reading again and again, while their teethers are helpful when your little one has the urge to chomp. You can find plushes and blankets your child will love to cuddle throughout naptime. They also have helpful household items like shopping cart covers, plates, and utensils.
Precious and Posh
Finding quality clothing for your little one can sometimes feel like an impossible challenge, but Precious and Posh is here to fix that. At this fabulous boutique, you can find countless outfits to prepare your little one for any occasion.

Brooke is the owner and lead photographer at Petite Magnolia Photography, just outside of Pittsburgh in McMurray, PA. A former pediatric ICU nurse and nurse anesthetist, she brings a level of calm, safety awareness, and genuine care to every session that goes well beyond photography. She specializes in maternity, newborn, baby, and family photography with a focus on documenting the quiet connections, the genuine emotions, and those little moments that make each season of family life worth remembering. Her approach is simple: create timeless images that feel like you. She serves families throughout Pittsburgh and the surrounding communities — including the South Hills, Mt. Lebanon, Upper St. Clair, Sewickley, Peters Township, and Morgantown, WV. She believes photographs should document the love and connection your family shares right now, and that those images deserve to live somewhere more meaningful than a phone camera roll. That’s why she guides her clients through creating heirloom albums, fine art prints, and keepsake pieces they’ll return to for generations.
