There is a version of you right now that deserves to be remembered.

Pittsburgh Maternity Photographer

As a Pittsburgh maternity photographer, this is the version of you I am here to remember. Not the version that has it all figured out. The real one. The one whose body is doing something extraordinary even on the days it does not feel that way. The one who touches her belly without thinking. The one whose presence is already different, even if she has not noticed the shift yet.

There is something deeper and quieter happening in you right now. Almost sacred. It shows up in the tenderness of the way you hold yourself, in the way you have already started becoming someone new. A maternity session with me is not about looking perfect. It is about seeing what I see when I look at you. Strong. Feminine. Becoming. And you do not have to earn being photographed to deserve this. You already do. As a Pittsburgh maternity photographer, this is what I see when you look in the mirror and miss it. And it’s what I want you to see too.

What to expect as my Pittsburgh maternity client

As your Pittsburgh maternity photographer, I run every session at my McMurray studio the same way: nothing for you to figure out, nothing to manage, just a few hours that belong to you. Wardrobe is handled. My studio is full of gowns and dresses in warm, neutral tones. All chosen to flatter a growing belly. We pick the one that feels right together.

Hair and makeup is handled. A professional artist is there the morning of your session. Walk in with a ponytail. Leave looking like you. Only better.

I direct every pose, every angle, every quiet look between you and your partner. And there will be a moment where he looks at you and you are not looking back. I almost guarantee it. The camera catches something between you that does not need big gestures. Just that steady tenderness. All you have to do is show up and exhale.

When your images are ready, we sit down and choose what belongs on your walls. A portrait for the nursery. An album of who you were right here. Your kid will open that album one day and see you. Not as mom. As the woman you were before they got here. They will see the excitement on your face and the happiness you carried before they ever took their first breath. And I hope when you hang your favorite in your home, you feel it every time you walk past it: I was beautiful here. I was held here. We were becoming a family here.

Of every question I get as a Pittsburgh maternity photographer, this one comes up the most. So I will say it plain. You do not have to feel confident to reserve this. You just have to trust me enough to try.

Light and angles and direction can show you something you do not see in the mirror. My clients almost always say the same thing. “I did not know I looked like that.”

Not perfection. Recognition. The version of yourself you do not always see in the mirror when you are tired and stretched thin. But something in you has softened during this season. But the people who love you? They see it. And now you will too.

Your Pittsburgh maternity portraits belong somewhere your child can find it.

An album with your whole pregnancy inside it. A framed print in the nursery they will stare at before they are old enough to know what it means. A matted portrait on your nightstand that reminds you of who you were before everything changed. From heirloom albums and framed nursery prints to birth announcements you will actually want to send, every piece is archival quality and built for decades, not months. We choose everything together after you have seen your images, so you never pay for something you have not fallen in love with first.

2026 Pittsburgh Maternity Photographer Investment

Step One: Reserve Your Date

Your session fee is paid first and reserves your date and experience. It covers everything that makes the day itself feel effortless — your welcome package, a pre-session planning call, full access to my client wardrobe with styling guidance for your whole family, professional hair and makeup, and your session.

A single session fee is $400.

The Collective Membership is $900 for up to four sessions — most Collective clients reserve maternity, newborn, six months, and first year. Each session includes everything above: wardrobe access, styling guidance, professional hair and makeup, and your time with me. Membership also includes priority scheduling, grandparents or your family pup in one session, 25 custom-designed birth announcements or holiday cards, and $200 off each heirloom album.

Step Two: Choose Your Portraits and Artwork

After your session, we sit down together at your design and ordering appointment. I walk you through your images as printed proofs and help you choose exactly what belongs in your home — heirloom albums, framed fine art prints, matted keepsakes, digital files, and custom announcements. You only invest in what you love, after you’ve seen it.

What Most Families Invest

Total investment begins at $1,300 — which includes your session fee and a handful of digital files. Most families invest $2,500 or more by adding heirloom artwork like an album or framed fine art prints. We’ll walk through every option together during your design and ordering appointment so the experience feels easy from start to finish.

Looking for Something Simpler?

The Petite Maternity Session is a shorter, focused option for mom only — no partner or sibling portraits, no professional hair and makeup, and a handful of beautiful images instead of a full collection. A good fit if a full session is not quite right for where you are or you are just looking for a few gorgeous portraits to mark this season. Reach out and I’ll share the details.

I’m a founding member of  The Motherhood Anthology — a global community of photographers committed to elevating motherhood imagery into something families keep for generations.

A few things people usually ask.

Great question — and one I want to be really clear about, because the way I’ve built this experience is a little different from what you might expect.

Your session fee covers everything that goes into making the day itself effortless. My time and expertise as your photographer. A pre-session planning call to talk through your vision. Full access to my curated client wardrobe in sizes XXS through XXXL, with maternity gowns and clothing chosen specifically to flatter a growing belly. Professional hair and makeup in-studio. And the kind of care that comes from a clinical background as a pediatric ICU nurse turned nurse anesthetist with experience in labor and delivery — I am intimately aware of the changes happening in your body right now, the ways pregnancy can leave you feeling unfamiliar in your own skin, and what it takes to help a mama feel safe, supported, and beautiful during this season. The session fee is your investment in the experience — and it’s designed so that from the moment you walk through my door, every detail is already handled for you.

Your digital files and heirloom artwork are chosen and purchased separately after your session, during a Design and Ordering Appointment where we sit down together and I walk you through your images as printed proofs. This way, you’re only investing in the pieces you truly love — not paying for something that was decided before you’ve even seen your portraits.

I never want you to feel like there’s a one-size-fits-all answer here, but I also don’t want you to be surprised. Here’s how it usually looks.

The full Petite Magnolia experience begins at $1,300 — which includes your session fee and a handful of digital files. Most families invest $2,500 or more by adding heirloom artwork like an album, framed fine art prints, or matted keepsakes for your home. That number reflects everything from a single beautiful album to a full collection with framed prints for your walls and pieces for grandparents.

There’s no minimum product purchase. We walk through every option together at your Design and Ordering Appointment, with your actual images in front of you, so every decision feels right. I would rather you leave with one piece you are proud of than five things you feel lukewarm about.

This is one of my favorite parts of the experience, and honestly — it’s also one of the most efficient.

About two to three weeks after your session, you come back to the studio and I walk you through your finished images as printed proofs. Something you can actually hold in your hands. We design your album layouts, choose images for framed artwork, select your digital files, and decide what belongs on which wall, all in about an hour. No back and forth over email for weeks. No second-guessing yourself in front of a screen at 10pm. No DIY printing project you never start. No wondering what size looks right above the mantle.

Bring the kids. Bring your partner. Bring whoever you want there with you. Your little ones are welcome — there are toys, snacks, and plenty of room for them to be themselves while we work. No need to find a sitter. I handle all of the design, layout, sizing, and framing decisions. You just tell me what you love. This is what I mean when I say your experience is fully guided from start to finish.

Absolutely. I want this to feel exciting, not stressful, and I’m happy to work with you on a structure that makes your investment feel comfortable.

For your session fee, a deposit reserves your date and the remaining balance is due before your session. If you’re planning ahead and your session is a few months out, we can spread that into additional payments leading up to your session day.

For your artwork and digital files, we’ll talk through payment options at your Design and Ordering Appointment. My goal is to make sure you walk away with the pieces your family will treasure — and that getting there feels as easy as everything else.

The sweet spot is usually between 28 and 32 weeks. By that point, you have a beautifully round belly, but you’re typically still comfortable enough to enjoy the experience. That said, every pregnancy is different — some mamas feel amazing at 36 weeks and some are ready to be done at 28. I’ll work with wherever you are.

The most important thing is to reach out early — ideally in your second trimester — so we can get your date on the calendar and have plenty of time for your planning call, wardrobe selection, and all the details that make your session feel effortless.

You don’t need to bring a thing. My studio has a curated client wardrobe with maternity gowns and clothing in sizes XXS through XXXL — everything from flowing, ethereal pieces to more fitted and timeless styles. During your planning call, we talk about what you’re drawn to and I pull options for you before you arrive.

You’re also welcome to bring something of your own if there’s a dress or outfit that feels meaningful to you. Some mamas love incorporating a special piece, and I’m always happy to work that in.

And yes — professional hair and makeup is included in your session fee. You show up, sit in the chair, and feel incredible before we even start. That’s the whole point.

Of course. All immediate family members are included in your maternity session at no additional cost. A lot of my Pittsburgh maternity sessions include a mix — some portraits of just you, some with your partner, and if you have older littles, we get them in there too.

I guide everyone through posing and help the session feel natural and relaxed, even if your toddler has their own agenda that day. They usually do. And it’s usually wonderful.

Yes — and this is actually one of the most meaningful things I offer. The Collective Membership was designed for exactly this. For a single membership fee of $900, you get up to four sessions, which means you can document maternity, newborn, and baby’s milestones all under one experience.

Beyond the per-session value compared to individual sessions, The Collective Membership includes priority scheduling, a welcome package in the mail, 25 custom-designed birth announcements or holiday cards, and $200 off each heirloom album you purchase. It’s designed for the family who knows they want to preserve the whole story, not just one chapter of it.

If you’re currently pregnant and even considering newborn photos down the road, I’d love to talk to you about The Collective. It’s the best value I offer and my favorite way to work with families.
