Visit a Pittsburgh Fertility Clinic for Support Through Pregnancy!

As a mom, I’ve long regarded motherhood as one of the most incredible and rewarding journeys one can embark on. Everyone’s motherhood journey looks different, however, and some moms-to-be find themselves going through the painful and frustrating experience of trouble with fertility. Seeing moms around you seemingly have their babies so seamlessly, it’s easy to start to feel disheartened and hopeless. Many programs and organizations in a Pittsburgh fertility clinic are ready to help you on your fertility and motherhood journey!

UPMC Magee-Women’s Hospital

The UPMC Magee-Women’s Center for Fertility and Reproductive Endocrinology is one of the nation’s top departments of its kind. Their environment is warm and open to new parents, putting them at ease with state-of-the-art programs with a women-centered approach and welcoming space.

Infertility services and treatments service all people, with all treatment options made with the consent and agreement of the couple. Furthermore, this Pittsburgh fertility clinic provides advanced reproductive technologies, including:

  • in vitro fertilization (IVF),
  • intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI),
  • donor gametes (sperm and oocytes),
  • preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD), and
  • an egg donation program.

Fertility Preservation Program in Pittsburgh

The Fertility Preservation Program, also local to Pittsburgh, specializes in preserving fertility for those who wish to be parents one day but have or are currently going through cancer treatment. As cancer treatments have improved over the years, more and more cancer survivors can confidently look to their future post-treatment and in remission, meaning that it’s become more and more important for there to be fertility preservation options.

I know if it were me, I wouldn’t want my desire for parenthood to break my heart on top of an already devastating diagnosis of cancer. The services The Fertility preservation program provides include:

  • semen cryopreservation,
  • embryo cryopreservation,
  • oocyte cryopreservation, and
  • donor sperm or donor egg,
  • along with some additional services contingent on the approval of the Institutional Review Board of the University of Pittsburgh.

Allegheny Reproductive Health Center

The Allegheny Reproductive Health Center’s mission is “fearless, judgment-free healthcare imbued with empathy and respect.” They are an all-encompassing health center that services patients with various reproductive needs, including specialized gynecological care, abortion care, in-office, and in-hospital surgical procedures, options counseling, and services specialized to the LGBTQIA+ community. Hence, this makes them better suited for nontraditional Pittsburgh families and those to whom fertility clinic care may be less accessible.

Shady Grove Fertility

Shady Grove Fertility, located in Wexford, Pennsylvania, services fertility clinic patients throughout the Pittsburgh metro area and Western Pennsylvania. They’re home to some of the most advanced fertility care, along with an internationally-renowned donor egg program, the largest in the nation, and one of the top five egg-freezing programs in the US.

As if that wasn’t enough, they tout an impressive stat that 96% of their patients would refer Shady Grove Fertility to a friend. Moreover, their team of three offers:

  • fertility and ovarian reserve testing and diagnosis,
  • semen analysis,
  • low-tech fertility options,
  • intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF) donor egg,
  • sperm, and embryo,
  • genetic screening and testing,
  • egg freezing, and fertility preservation!
