Maternity Photos: Are They Necessary?
Hello there! My name is Brooke, and I am a maternity photographer near Pittsburgh.
Today I’m excited to share with you why I believe that maternity photos are an important part of a baby’s story.
As a maternity photographer, I get to capture one of the most special times in a family’s life: the arrival of a new baby. Expecting parents are so excited, and I get to help them capture that love and anticipation in beautiful, timeless photographs.
You may be wondering why maternity photos are important. After all, isn’t it enough to have photos of the baby once they arrive? While a newborn session is certainly important, I believe that maternity photos are just as necessary to tell your baby’s whole story.
Here are a few reasons why I think maternity photos are important:
- They capture the start of a new life. Maternity photos are a special way to document the beginning of a new life. These photos tell the story of when the family was just beginning, and the excitement and anticipation that came with it.
- They show the love and connection between parents. Maternity photos often feature just the parents, and these photos are a beautiful way to capture the love and connection between them before the baby arrives. It’s a special time when they can focus on each other before their lives are forever changed by the arrival of their little one.
- They provide a beautiful keepsake for the baby. Imagine being able to show your child their first home, the place where they began. Maternity photos are a beautiful way to provide a keepsake for the baby, to show them how cherished they were even before they were born.
- They celebrate the beauty of pregnancy. Pregnancy is an incredible journey, and maternity photos are a way to celebrate the beauty of such a short season. They can help expecting mamas feel empowered, beautiful, and proud of the amazing thing their body is doing.
- They capture the joy of siblings. If there are siblings in the family, maternity photos are a way to capture their excitement! These photos show the special bond between siblings, and the love that will only continue to grow.
