If you shop alone, you run the risk of clothes not fitting as you’d like. If you take kids with you, you run the risk of losing your mind.
So how do you choose what to wear for your family photos and not have to stress about it?
That’s an easy one. You choose to work with a photographer that offers wardrobe for clients! 10 years ago, this wasn’t a huge concept but now, most photographers with a photography studio will offer wardrobe.
And guess what? My studio offers a client wardrobe with options for the full family! I have tons of beautiful gowns (in all styles, colors, and sizes) for moms to pick from. Once we dress you, we’ll move on to the kids and Dad so everyone is cohesive with what you love.

Floral dress for mom + lace cream dress for daughter
I suggest picking one pattern and working off of that. If mom wants to wear a floral dress, we’ll find a solid color for everyone else and use texture to bring more variety to the clothing, like we did with for the one year old girl below.

Working with brighter colors in a bright and airy photography studio is a great idea. Simply pull a more subtle color for other members of the family and it photographs beautifully!
White button down for Dad is always a good idea
A white button down will always be in style. When in doubt, stick with that for dad.
