Being a newborn and baby photographer, I have some staple poses & images that I particularly love for newborns and babies, as I think they do a great job of capturing those small & big details.
The first is with baby on the beanbag. I love both sleeping and awake babies, because then I’m able to get some of those sweet grins on camera and those precious sleeping angel moments.
Another is with older babies that are sitting unassisted. Trust me when I say that 6 months is one of the SWEETEST times to have a session with your baby. Their little personalities are starting to really shine and they’re so darn curious about the whole world around them. It’s a magical time for them and gosh darn precious to document!
Lastly, you cannot forget those detail shots. I am a sucker for little baby feet & toes, but all of their tiny features are perfection and so quickly disappear. You can’t rely on memory alone, so photos are a must. Trust me, your heart will thank you more & more every year.
