They grow so incredibly fast. One day you’re looking down at your brand new baby, all squishy and needing you for every single aspect of survival, and the next you realize you’re arguing with a child that insists on independence and making messes. It happens in a paradox of insanely fast years and days that seem never ending.
We watch the little leg rolls disappear into long toddler legs, gummy grins grow into toothy smiles and all too soon after, toothless again. Fine baby hair gives way to long, thicker hair, the little chubby fingers turn into little kid hands, and you’re buying more shoes than you ever anticipated because their feet just won’t seem to stop growing.
