When you’re searching for your 2021 Fall family photographer to take ‘just the one holiday card’ image, I’d like for you to remember these few things:
- Location is important! The photographer knowing their outdoor location well is very important. Phrases like ‘you pick the location!’ scare me as a consumer, personally! I know what photographs beautifully, but does my best friend? Or kids’ teachers? Not necessarily.
- Turn around time is something to keep in mind when booking! You want to be sure you have time for the session, the photographer to create their magic, designing your holiday cards, receiving them, and THEN sending out to your list. It adds up quick and if you don’t plan properly, your cards might arrive in 2022.
- Aesthetic, aesthetic, aesthetic. I cannot emphasize it enough. These images will hopefully be displayed and seen in your home on a regular basis. You don’t need to match your home aesthetic, but keeping it in mind while selecting your photographer is a good idea!
