We so excited that you are interested in choosing us to document your family! We believe in real moments and chasing sunsets. In the kinds of images that remind you of the joy that can be found in the simplest of moments together. We believe in images that are itching to be printed, placed in beautiful frames and hung on walls for years to come.

We began capturing images on film at the age of 22 when we discovered our dad’s old Pentax in the attic. The limited amount of images on a roll of film forced us to put our camera phone down and really observe the beauty in the world, and the people around us. Whenever we pick up my camera, we strive to create beautiful and emotional images that tell a story and showcase the beauty of both the people in the images and the world around them.

WHAT TO EXPECT –

Pre-session Consultation

Once you reserve your session, we will begin our pre-session consultation. This is a way for me to get to know you and your family better as well as talk about your visions & goals. We will discuss wardrobe choices & hair and makeup, as well as locations.

The Session

It’s the big day! You will receive a reminder email prior to your session which includes location details & times. I will help guide you and your family through the session as we document your genuine love for one another and the unbreakable bond that you have as a family. Snacks, water & special rewards are always in my bag for little ones.

For newborn sessions, I have everything you could need during our time together- wipes, diapers, pacifiers, a comfy couch, Netflix, magazines, snacks & drinks. I have a growing collection of fabrics & wraps to perfectly compliment my style of photography. The studio is professionally cleaned twice a week as well as between sessions.

Design & Ordering Appointment

Approximately 2-3 weeks after your session, you will receive a link to view your online gallery. Here you will see your images for the first time. You will also see wall gallery designs and album layouts. We will schedule a time to chat about how you would like to preserve and display your portraits. Choosing tangible artwork allows for your story to be told for many generations to come. I am also available to come to your home to help design a gallery wall as well. Any images not purchased will be discarded after your ordering session.

Delivery of Artwork

Once your heirloom album or framed fine art print is ready, you will receive an email with delivery details. All framed artwork is ready to hang for you so that you can enjoy your artwork right away.

WHAT TO WEAR

When picking outfits we recommend keeping in mind the word “complement” rather than “match.” For example, if Dad is wearing a blue and pink pastel plaid shirt, Mom may want to choose a long, soft blue dress. It can also be a great idea to choose “color-families,” such as pastels or jewel tones.

FOR THE LITTLES

With the growth of online shops, shopping for your littles is more fun than ever! We recommend choosing color families (neutrals, blues, etc) over perfectly matching outfits. Yay! Just send me an email letting me know and I’ll send you an invoice for your session fee & portrait contract. Once those items are completed, your session will be reserved on my calendar!

FAQ

HOW MANY imageS ARE TYPICALLY INCLUDED AND CAN WE PRINT THE PHOTOS OURSELVES?

I guarantee a minimum of 30 images but most galleries contain anywhere from 45-60 images. The purchase of your digital file collection allows you to print unlimited copies and sizes on your own. I include a list of recommended consumer printers to help insure the best quality with your print release.

FAQ

What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate or i have a sick child?

I totally understand that sometimes life likes to throw us a curveball. Since I only take a limited number of clients per month, this allows me to have the flexibility to reschedule when the unexpected happens. Some newborns wake up the morning of our session with baby acne; sometimes Mother Nature has other plans- don’t stress about it; I’ve got it taken care of.

FAQ

How will we receive our photos?

Within a few weeks of your session, you’ll receive a link to a digital gallery that will allow you to download high resolution images.

The gallery is also set up to make ordering prints, canvases and other keepsakes as easy as turning on a Roomba to clean your floors. No worrying about tricky things like color correction, DPI and image format.
